Junichi Tsuneoka poster design [stubborn sideburn]

Junichi was born and raised in Japan and arrived in the US at the end of 20th century. After graduating from Cornish College of the Arts he was hired as a graphic designer by Modern Dog, a Seattle based design company.

The co-founders of Modern Dog, Robynne Raye and Michael Strassburger, taught Junichi everything from design basics to the meaning of the word "mullet," almost everything you need to live in USA. There he developed design skills and was encouraged to use a lot of his own illustrations in his design projects. Over the past several years, he developed the style often described as a cross between Manga and graffiti. Now he is an independent illustrator having his own studio (STUDIO STUBBORN SIDEBURN) in Seattle.
