kyle pellet pen & ink [pellet factory]

Pellet Factory: remember when you were a kid, maybe six, eight, twelve, or thirteen years old, and the teacher went on and on about things that didn't really matter. You knew in your gut that they'll never, ever matter. So, your mind veered off at the speed of light about hundreds, maybe thousands of other things—all you can drink fountain soda, UFOs, alien life forms and the possibility of malignant probes disguised as commonplace objects patrolling earth. You wondered if Rachel across the street really liked you or not, and if she did, why? Hamburgers came to mind, as did hot dogs, and other delicious meat-based foods. What kinds of things would they say if they could talk? Oh, and while on the concept of talking foods, how about talking animals? It would have been really neat if your cute mongrel dog could have responded when you were venting about how your parents overreacted to something bad you did. Surely, he'd have had some advice, and, in fact, would have made a perfect mediator in settling big disputes about prehistoric sunsets with t-rex, triceratops and apatosaurus, battling it out, heads and tails flailing in the red horizon while pterodactyls screeched and growled in the troposphere. And, golly gee, you wish you could remember the name of that cartoon that was cancelled a few years ago, you know, with those fish people who lived undersea with their fish dog hybrid. Boy, you're really not in the mood for chicken gumbo tonight. You know what I'm writing about, right? I try to get all that stuff—however dumb, embarrassing, brilliant, dirty, hopeful or ridiculous it might be—and put it on paper. I don't know how well I do it, but I try my best. My name's Kyle Pellet and I'm from San Jose, California. To see more of my work, please visit my website. To buy my signed Kitties print, go to Art Bureau's Etsy shop.
